Morgan Nicholson, Owner of MDW & Lead Planner
Welcome to my dream! From the time I was in the third grade, my best friend and I dreamed about becoming wedding planners. Many years later, here I am. I love my job! But to be honest most days it doesn't feel like 'work' at all; and that's how I know I'm doing what I LOVE!
As a young teenager I began planning bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties and eventually, weddings for friends and family. That gift and experience grew over the years which led to me getting the opportunity to work with an amazing event stylist in Maryland, where I lived until I moved to sunny California. When my husband and I moved to Redding, CA I was privileged to do a one year apprenticeship under the leadership of a seasoned wedding planner. That year grew my talent even more. In 2017 I became the proud owner of My Dear Weddings! So many incredible people cheered me on in this journey, which has also led me to finding my passion in seeing other people pursue dreams of their own--it's truly life-giving!
My wonderful husband Chris and I have three precious children, Benjamin, Adeline and Haven. My other hobbies include fitness, cooking/hosting, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Hello there, my name is Ciara! I live in sunny California where I love getting outdoors and experiencing the beauty thats all around me! I am pretty outgoing and enjoy gathering friends together whenever I can!
Growing up I was the friend that was in all their friends weddings. If you have seen the movie 27 Dresses you know what I am talking about! A few years back I helped coordinate a friends wedding and really fell in love with the whole process. I used my experience from being a part of numerous weddings to help guide me. During that year I got connected with Morgan from My Dear Weddings and began assisting alongside of her. I’ve now been doing weddings for 5 over years.
I love seeing everything come together and being a part of making the couples’ wedding day special.
